Companion Diocese Mission Trip 2012

Dear Haiti 2012 travelers and friends of our Companion Diocese of Haiti:

2012 (9th) Annual Companion Diocese of Haiti Mission Trip Notes and Prayer Requests: (http://www.egliseepiscopaledhaiti.org/clerge.html )

Nine people from our diocese (Lexington, Somerset, Winchester…areas) will meet at 3:30 am on Saturday morning to leave on from The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection on the parish bus to be at the Cincinnati airport by 5:30 a.m The folks from the Northern Ky. area will meet the team at that time and we will join to fly to Miami.. After Miami… We begin our trip in Port au Prince. While in Port au Prince, we will stay at the Matthew 25 House and from Matthew 25, our Diocesan Team will serve at Blanchard Medical Clinic, build a home near Cite Soleil, repair homes and visit with Diocese of Haiti friends in and around Port au Prince.

On Thursday-Saturday (Feb. 2-4) , we will travel to the mountain village of Fondwa, where we will visit with the 490+ children and teachers at the School and Orphanage of St. Antoine, Fondwa. On Friday afternoon, we will share our offerings and friendship and in the evening we will have Eucharist and share a meal. On Saturday, we will return to Port au Prince and visit on the site of Holy Trinity Cathedral. We will spend our last night back at Matthew 25, worship in the morning and head to the Port au Prince airport to catch our flights to the United States.

We have much to learn from our brothers and sister in Haiti. Please uphold all of this in your prayers,.

That said, many thanks to the people of the Diocese of Lexington for supporting our Companion Diocese of Haiti Ministries. There are SO many congregations and individuals that help us to make The Diocese of Lexington present. We are very aware that we represent you and ALL the congregations of The Diocese of Lexington this year and in every effort that we share with our brothers and sisters in our Companion Diocese of Haiti.
